Prices at airport shops go up.

USA Today reports that beefed up security procedures at airports have increased fares at airport shops and restaurants. Travelers are buying more items on the concourse because of restrictions at security checkpoints. Vendors and airport executives say that aiprot business are facing higher airport operating costs. NOAA has downgraded hurricane forecast

The U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has dowgraded its 2009 forecast due to lack of activity. NOAA’s new prediction calls for 11 named storms.
